Hello, I’m Jongha Son. I’m a student interested in architecture and the ways spaces can shape people’s experiences.
I began exploring this interest through my visual arts projects. In one of my installation art projects, I created a nearly dark, enclosed space and used sound to influence how visitors experienced it. With little to see, visitors had to pay closer attention to what they heard. The project made me curious about how the same room could feel different depending on its sensory conditions.

In another project, I connected many small units to create a larger structure. Building it helped me see how individual parts support a form and give it shape.

Together, these projects taught me to consider both how a structure is made and how it feels to move through or occupy it. I enjoy sketching ideas, testing materials, and revising a design when it works differently than I expected. Through this portfolio, I hope to share that process as I continue exploring architecture.
